Our Leven Property

 

The story of Cairn Mhor began when we opened our first house in the Fife coastal town of Leven in 2002.  The town has a wide range of amenities including library, leisure centre and swimming pool, good local schools, health services and many local shops.  Leven is a popular holiday resort and its long sandy beach is one of the cleanest and best in the region.

The house is located in Glenlyon Road and is set back from the road.  It has five bedrooms, a large sitting room/ dining room, kitchen, bathroom and a shower room.  There are also two staff sleep-over rooms and in the basement, we also have a well-equipped education suite and an office.  A computer area is equipped for the children/ young people to use and has proved popular.  To the back and side of the house are spacious gardens.

At Glenlyon Road we have a team of nine qualified staff and three support workers who care for the children, one cook and two house-keepers.  They are supported by a team of managers who offer 24 hour support to the staff.

A wide range of activities are on offer, such as swimming, ice-skating, youth club, football training to name but a few.  We value children/ young people as individuals and try to develop any interest or hobbies they have giving them every opportunity to try something new, either within the community or further afield.  We have built good relationships with local schools, which have been invaluable in supporting our children/ young people in their education.
