RESIDENTIAL CARE WORKERS

(HNC Social Care and SVQIII Qualified, highly desirable however relevant childcare experience will be considered)

Due to expansion we have opportunities for the following posts:-

  • 3 posts of 30 hours per week (permanent basis) starting at £15,085 plus sleep-in allowance
  • 2 posts of 39 hours per week (Full Time – temporary basis to cover long term sickness) starting at £19,611 plus sleep-in allowance
  • 1 post of 39 hours per week (maternity cover expected until March 2019) starting at £19,611 plus sleep-in allowance
  • Job Share – 20 hours per week (permanent basis) starting at £10,057 plus sleep-in allowance

Higher for additional qualifications and experience.

You will have a sound understanding of child development and attachment theory and be able to contribute, with colleagues and our consultants to form individual Care Plans. An ability to build relationships, work as part of a team and independently.

These positions involve shift work in one of our Fife based residential houses, catering for young people, aged 6 to 21 years. They are subject to a Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme check and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council.  Any training required for registration must be undertaken and completed within the given timescales.

Cook

Salary appropriate for qualification and experience

Due to expansion we have an opportunity for a Cook to join our residential childcare team.

In this role your key duties will include:-

·         Purchasing all required food

·         Planning a healthy balanced diet for and in consultation with our Young People

·         Daily handling of cash or credit card in line with Company Policy. 

You should hold relevant Hygiene and Food preparation qualifications, however your personal qualities such as the ability to help our team provide a warm, caring atmosphere for our Young People is key.  You must be able to demonstrate you have patience and a flexible attitude, as our Young People are encouraged to participate in cooking and baking.    

We ask all of our staff to be flexible but normal hours for these roles are:- 

  • 25 hours per week
  • Normal hours of work are covered over a 5 day week.
